The first co-lab between NBFG and Addict has been released. The co-lab was originally conceived and designed in early 2007, when I was asked to design a bespoke print for the Method Zip Hoodie - one of Addict’s staple pieces. This print was something that I had been previously developing and is a twist on the four playing card suit icons with NBFG monograms.

This week, in preparation of the Addict launch and giveaway, NBFG hooked up with super talented photographer and graf artist Ethel to shoot our girl Ren in the SS08 MethodZip hoodies. For those who for some reason aren’t acquainted with Ethel’s work - she’s the girl behind all of the amazing photos for Insa, as well as being a seriously accomplished graf writer in her own right. Just made a new book submission to DGV’s Logos 4, after previously being featured in Tres Logos. This submit includes lots of currently unseen NBFG logos. (Exclooosive!) So, hold tight for the book release! Actually don’t hold too tight, it will be quite a while yet…

This is my latest notebook. I always have one that goes literally everywhere with me for ideas, ramblings etc. It’s always there, and I mean always, in my bag or pocket or by the side of my bed for when some random thought seems good enough to want to remember. In fact if I don’t take it out with me it’s guaranteed that I’ll want to write in it, and if it’s there at least I feel like somehow I’m still working. I just pulled out some stuff from there for Summer pieces, which are on their way… I’m particularly loving the book at the moment as it’s covered in icon stickers made from the NBFG x Addict co-lab design which is now only a couple of months away from launching. But talking of the co-lab, we are going to celebrate the drop, thanks to the nice people at Addict HQ, by giving away a bunch of stuff on the site. So keep em peeled for that, free stuff rules right?

This is the 59Fifty I designed for the New Era Sessions. The cap was originally designed back in April ‘07 for the Sessions; where artists and designers were invited to use the 59Fifty as a blank canvas. Only 6 samples of each were made and showcased in flagship store exhibitions. This was my piece; Strawberries & Cream. The fruits of my labour! The Sessions Exhibition was on show at The New Era London Flagship store throughout December 07.

New Addict Spring/Summer ‘08 catalogue has just hit the doormat and it’s great to see it finally in print, shiny and real. I’m a print girl at heart, so that feeling of getting something back from the printers is always a good one - unless it’s done fucked it up of course, which isn’t fun for anyone. But I digress, the catalogue previewed at the recent Bread & Butter Barcelona and this is the first official glimpse of the new Addict x Not Bad For a Girl MethodZip Hoody spread. I’m well proud to be able to post this baby up! These are the pictures from our shoot last month and Jasmine looks amazing. The only bad news is that we are gonna have to hold tight until next season before we can get our paws on them!

This shot was created for holiday season ‘06 to showcase the first NBFG Signature script hoodies. The image was shot and comped using one Tungsten lamp, a Cybershot and a dash of Photoshop science. After a visit to Sainsbury’s to buy nappies a dishbrush and some Moet - as we do - we were set to do the shoot. Thanks to Milly aka Milldilla the Millyonairre for putting up with me going “left arm up a bit, a bit more, and towards me a bit…’ etc, all day. I’m annoying I know. The image was inspired by Kali, a complex and contradictory Indian goddess.

Damn, I forgot I did these. They’ve been sittin’ on my shelf until someone emailed me about them last week. I designed these letters a while back now, made them into badges in the summer, indulged my ocd by dividing up the colours and compiling them into alphabet sets… Then promptly forgot about them. Only 26 sets in existence. Mail me if you want some.
